Calligraphy Meditations

Koho Kurihara was awarded First Runner-Up at the Japan Contemporaries Series 11, Juried Open Call, The Art of Sho, curated by Motoichi Adachi and Kyoko Sato. This groundbreaking exhibition, held from November 5-12, 2024, at the Tenri Cultural Institute in New York, featured an opening reception and live performance on November 7. Marking a milestone as the first Japanese calligraphy exhibition in the Japan Contemporaries Series, the event celebrated the artistry and cultural significance of sho (calligraphy) in a contemporary context.
